21st Jazz Festival of Saint-Genis Laval

Jazz is not normally my thing, so the opportunity for participating in a Jazz Festival was a great experience and, possibly, the start of a new dynamic in my musical style.

Especially, being on stage supported by a 44 piece brass band. I can tell you, it is quite something! Not to mention being surrounded, and supported, by other singers.

All in all, it was an excellent evening. Thanks also to the fact I had the opportunity of meeting Robyn Bennett to discuss music, music experience and real life stage experience.

Highlights of the evening included:

  • An Harmonic Ensemble with 44 musicians, 6 singers and 1 solo artist)
  • The Robyn Bennett & The Bang Bang Quintet

Of course, the backstage time made for a large part of the fun and helped build the dynamic for the evening.
